Sugar Love Review:
This top R&B song is about the aftermath of a relationship, where the lady is reflecting on the good times she had with the guy, while also thinking about what she wish she still had with the him before their relationship fell apart.
The song has a real feel good feeling to it – due to the fantastical lyrics built from memories of love lost and fantasies of new love found.
Told from a females perspective from the heart of her emotions; a tell-it-like-it-is perspective, with tones of wishful thinking, fused with thoughts built up from memories and fantastatical thinking.
The song is up beat, and the only indication of love lost is hidden deep in the lyrics such as;
“…Kiss me like you never kissed me before”
It’s not surprising that the song peaked at No.3 on MySpace Music (before it’s official major release)
